1. Between The Buried And Me. Their album called Colors was released in 2007, but I didn't fully appreciate it, until I purchased their Colors Live CD/DVD this year. The band is full of brilliant musicians who are doing things never before done in music. If you have not heard the album or seen the DVD, you are truly missing out. Go check out their back catalogue, as well.
2. Anberlin releasing New Surrender and having "Feel Good Drag" reach the top 10 on "Billboard's Top Modern Rock Tracks" chart.
3. The Transformer's movie. Yes, I'm late on this one, too. It came out in 2007 and I saw it and liked it, but I watched it again and liked it even more. This movie put Megan Fox on the map as she was voted sexiest woman in the world by FHM Magazine.
4. Copeland's album You Are My Sunshine. Probably my favorite album released in 2008. It's just full of beautiful, relaxing songs. This was a down year for me in terms of new music, so the fact that I could listen to this album all the way through may have been enough to put it at the top for me.
5. Progressive Metalcore. Between The Buried And Me. Protest The Hero. The Human Abstract. Check out those bands. Amazing musicians.
6. Judd Apatow. The guy just makes the funniest movies. The 40 Year Old Virgin. Superbad. Knocked Up. Step Brothers. Pineapple Express. Walk Hard. Anchorman. Forgetting Sarah Marshall. In 2008 I came to the conclusion that I know I will get my money's worth of laughs when I go see one of his productions.
7. Facebook. I think I like it better than myspace.
8. Mae. I saw them play an amazing show in Covington, Ky in October and they blew me away.
9. Life In Your Way. My favorite hardcore band broke up and I'm still heart broken. I did get to see them one last time, at least.
10. The Boston Celtics. I was glad to see them win the NBA Championship!
11. Michael Phelps and his amazing Olympic Performace.
12. Albert Einstein. I read about how he was named person if the Century for the 1900's and I became fascinated.
13. Lil Wayne selling a million copies of Tha Carter III in the first week
14. The Office. It's amazing.
15. Michael Jordan Youtube Highlight Videos. I watched aot of them.
16. The demise of Christian Hardcore News. I kinda lost interest.
